The “Cookie Cutter” Horse – part 1
A horse gets “cookie cuttered” when a person takes the common approaches (that are often over taught) and applies them mechanically or repetitively without fully understanding the principles and purposes behind certain techniques and the progression these techniques are to be a part of. This most often results in a horse that is either bothered, mechanized, disconnected or dull rather than being engaged in a meaningful conversation.
